A friend mentioned Unitarian Universalism to me and being the big geek that I am; I looked it up on the internet. I'd heard of people being Unitarian before, but never really knew what it meant. It's a liberal religious faith that preaches tolerance and free will. I had no idea a liberal faith even existed. Religion and right-wing politics go hand-in-hand these days and for a faith to promote themselves as liberal is refreshing.
What's tragic is how the left has allowed the right to co-opt religion. Pisses me off something awful. See - you should check out the church I was trying - they had a whole series in January about how the right has appropriated Jesus. /';'.' That's Wyatt. He's pulling my hair.
I used to belong to a book group that was held in a Unitarian church. It was one of those "Great Books" groups. They tried to get me to visit their church. I have my own religion, so no thanks.
My mom thinks my religious sect meets at shopping malls, but malls are way too quiet for my crew.
