Last night it was pouring down rain here in Dallas. I was playing PS2 and Mira comes up to me and whines to tell me she wants to go out. About the same time Phlome lets Luna out and Mira goes out with her, so I don't think anything more about it. When the dogs come back in, Mira runs right back up to me and begins to whine again. I tell her she just went out, which of course, make no diference to her, and she continues to whine. So I get up and walk to the door to let her back out. She lays down on the floor and rolls over like I'm punishing her by making her go out in the rain. *sigh* I walk outside to get her to go out and she follows. HOWEVER, she will not set foot off the porch and into the rain. SO I walk out into the rain. NOW she follows me out and procedes to use the restroom. Apparently the only way she will go pee in the rain is if I get rained on as well.
July 2004 Archives
When I was younger my brother and I wathced a show called Galaxy Rangers. No one I now has ever heard of this show. It was only on TV for about 4 months in 1986. I have been searching for it on DVD for years but could never find it. Well, I neglected to look in the one place where you can find anything, EBAY. Apparently, Galaxy Rangers is stll shown on TV in England and someone over htere has put the shows on DVD and sells them on EBAY. I found all this out when Halo, my brohter, bought me THE ENTIRE SET for my Birthday! So pretty much all I have been doing lately is reveling in campy 80's cartoons and trying to get over this damn cold. Oh and they are NOW releasing a few epidodes on DVD, I'll probably have to get those too, so I can see if they have any special features. Just think in 10 years people will be this nostalgic about Pokemon.
Back from Tubing this weekend with only minor injuries to show for it. I banged my right big toe on a rock at some point and it's now turning 4 shades of purple. I also scraped my left wrist and elbow in the process. WOO HOO Extreme Tubing. We did take a waterproof camera on the river, but as it's a low-tech device, you'll have to wait for the developing and scanning in to be complete.
It seems like all my firends are getting blogs now. Weljim has now joined the Dallas Blogosphere.
Go check out this little film while your at it, too funny.
Oh and one final note, this is about the most un-metal thing I've ever heard. Lemmy doesn't do group therapy he does Groupies, and who could need more therapy than that?
I'm back from Baltimore, but only for a little bit. Tonight the crew heads to Austin, so we can get up bright and early to go to New Braunfels for Tubing! A friend of mine asked me a very pointed question about the trip.
"Does tubing = drinking?"
My reply
"Yeah pretty much."
I ventured to Wal-Mart again today. I won't go into that fact that it is hell again but it is. I was entertained greatly by the peopel in the "self-checkout" line that got pissed off because there was no checker there to ring up thier items.
Go give Redhead's blog some love she just got it setup recently.
I'm in Maryland again. Baltimore specifically. Woo... This project I'm working on is getting really busy this week so I haven't had much time to blog.
I'm still recovering from being sick this past weekend, but have no fear I'll be well enough for the Tubing trip this weekend. :) Really wierd though, never had a fever or anything just felt like I had one for about a day and a half.
Bunny seems to think that my lack of comments is from not commenting on other blogs or answering questions, or both, I'm not quite sure. Seems to me I get plenty of comments.
Here are the pictures of Donut with Kittie from last Wednesday. Aww aren't they cute.....

I'm in OK for the weekend. I also don't feel well, which sucks. Only symptom so far is really really achey. I thought I was just tired but felt worse this morning. Making me kinda cranky. I have the Kittie pictures, don't feel lilke uploading them over dialup though so you'll have to wait.
Saw I, Robot last night my thoughts:
More Asimovish than I thought it would be.
Wicked cool cyber-arm
Will Smith is still funny.
overall not bad.
A few weeks back I was sitting at the Angry Dog in Deep Ellum, while friends were getting tattoos, reading the Dallas Observer. I noticed that a band called "Kitty" was playing at Trees on July 14th. I seemed to remember Donut mentioning that he liked the band so I called him and asked him if Kitty was the band he had talked about before. He goes nuts and says yes tells me that we just HAVE to go see them.
Turns out, Kitty is an all-girl (or grrl, in the parlance of our times) heavy metal band. The music was pretty much your standard metal. More like a hoamge to the gods of metal like Sabbath and Mettalica. There was a mosh pit but it was kidna small. It did threaten to envelop us at one point but it never took on a life of it's own to engulf the entire floor as some pits do. Quote from Donut: "That could have been a disaster if it wasn't for that big fat guy in front of us."
We hung out after the show so Donut could get his picture taken with each of the hot metal girls. I'll put them up as soon as he emails them to me. Oh yeah and they're Canadian, which really isn't very metal.
Has anyone ever considered that Al-Qaeda could be the real world equivalent of COBRA? COBRA is the terrorist organization that was the ever-present opponent of GI Joe. If you have no idea what GI Joe is, stop reading now and go ask your children. COBRA had a maniacal leader, seemingly limitless funding, and the desire to take over the world. Of course, they didn’t have the religious/zealot mentality of Al-Qaeda but it was a cartoon after all. So it seems to me, if we really want to get rid of Al-Qaeda, we need GI JOE. No , not the goofy cartoon guys, but a real-world equivalent of what GI
JOE was (or is I guess the toays are still around). A secret government organization made of the “best of the best” from the various Special Forces that had free reign to combat terrorism. Sounds like a good idea to me. I guess it sounds like a good idea to someone else too, since my idea seems to be the plot behind some of the newer Tom Clancy Novels, like Rainbow Six. Rainbow Six is actually made up of the best Special Forces from all over the world, which is more like MegaForce than GI Joe. Hmm I wonder what kind of search results I’m gonna get from this one.
I usually tell you about my weekend on Monday, but I really didn't do anything of note this weekend. Mostly hung out with Ninsi, Phlome, and the Squid. I was invited to go county line dancing on Sunday, but that would have required me to drink A LOT as country music makes me want to vomit A LOT. Since I had spent most of the day Satudy by the pool with a Margarita I figured I'd hold off on power drinking for at least one sunday.
Speaking of music, Jessy and I unsuccessfully tried to swap some large files over the weekend. so if anyone has any idea on how to easily transfer very large files from PC to PC let me know.
Methods already tried:
MSN Messenger (file was too large kept timing out)
Kazza ( Couldn't find the files on search)
Bit Torrent (Has to be hosted somewhere.)
I realize that setting up an FTP server would work but that doesn't fall under the heading of easy, for either of us.
I made two pages for the pictures from my Birthday party last Friday. The first one is action shots and the second shows piniata bashing.
Here's more links I've been meaning to promote.
This one has all kinds of info about the Dallas Area including pictures of people arrested for prostitution!
A MT plug-in that will get rid of comment spam. I think Jess uses it.
And this cool little utility will send any web-crawlers that post comment spam into an infinite loop!
Well It's now the 7th so I guess It's about time to report the Stats for last month.
Channel Zero is getting more popular last month I had 2277 unique visitors, with just under 60,000 total hits.
The most searched on phrase was again "channel zero" with "toee crack" in second and "boobs" coming in at third. I have no idea how I got linked to a Crack for the Temple of Elemental Evil game. I've never linked it, or really even knew one existed. I can tell you it isn't worth $50 though so maybe that's why so many people want the crack.
In the battle for who referred the most people to my site it went something like this:
Bunny
Neko
Ninsi
Phlome
Hagrok
Jessy
Chicken
Katie
Wickkett
Neko has moved way up the list due to the constant linking to my forums. Way to go!
This month's funny search phrases:
rhinos humping
my name in demon form
beast_206 (what happened to the first 205?)
www.free pics of gay bears (again with the gay bears!)
Thursday as I mentioned before was Dinner at the Bavarian Grill. Attended by Me, Bunny, Ninisi, Phlome, Monketo, non-blogging friends, and the newly christend Man-Ass, formerly known as Donut. This comes from the statment that he couldn't watch nip/tuck anymore cause it showed too much "Man-Ass."
The food, beer, and company was excellent as always.
Friday was the big Birthday bash. And while Ninsi was strinving to stay sober till later int he evening. I was not. I'm pretty sure The Bro and I had killed a case and then some by the time actual guests started showing up. The weather cooperated so the pool was put to good use. A veritible plethora of pictures were taken. I'll try and do up a collage sometime this week.
Saturday was spent recovering most of the day and then we took a large group out to 4-Day weekend in Fort Worth. After that a few Bars were frequented and we somehow ended up at Steak and Shake around 2 AM. The service was what one could expect at that time of the morning.
Most of the party people had other plans on Sunday so I had a small cookout/pool party. We wacthed the fireworks at Lone Star Park in Grand Praire. I think the most memorable thing had to be the 30+ small children in the back of the pickup next to us, every single one of them wearing a burger king crown.
In other news, none of these girls work at my Home Depot.
Okay the Camportal is now up. Thanks to all of you who sent in pictures. If you want your picture changed just email me a new one. LOTS to tell from my Birthday weekend but I'll get to that later.
I guess I would be remiss if I didn't blog on my own Birthday. Thank you to all of you who have wished me a Happy Birthday! Tonight in celebration I am goignt o the FABULOUS Bavarian Grill. Nothing says happy birthday quite like German Food and Beer!
