What do you mean MSN messenger can't handle a 500MB file

I usually tell you about my weekend on Monday, but I really didn't do anything of note this weekend. Mostly hung out with Ninsi, Phlome, and the Squid. I was invited to go county line dancing on Sunday, but that would have required me to drink A LOT as country music makes me want to vomit A LOT. Since I had spent most of the day Satudy by the pool with a Margarita I figured I'd hold off on power drinking for at least one sunday.

Speaking of music, Jessy and I unsuccessfully tried to swap some large files over the weekend. so if anyone has any idea on how to easily transfer very large files from PC to PC let me know.
Methods already tried:
MSN Messenger (file was too large kept timing out)
Kazza ( Couldn't find the files on search)
Bit Torrent (Has to be hosted somewhere.)

I realize that setting up an FTP server would work but that doesn't fall under the heading of easy, for either of us.

Well, you could try raring it into a multipart archive...

Could you try Winzip? Also can't you search by user name in Kazaa?

If Kazaa doesn't work try Limewire...

Winzip only take like 40 meg off the size. Limewire installs a whole crapload of spyware and other hateful shit on your computer. Also I was hoping we could get away without me having to span this huge thing. I could I suppose just stick the cd's in the mail, but that seems SO archaic. heh.

spyware?

Spyware is a program that tracks what websites you look at. Kazaa, Limewire, Imesh, and most p2p sharing prgrams install it. Google for sbybot and download it. It will remove all the spyware from your pc. Of course it will also disable p2p sharing.....

Some P2P sharing.. most bit torrent clients don't have spyware.

I suppose I could look at torrenting it again, I'm still hazy on the hosting of the torrent.

Reading

I just finshed Codelia's Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold which is the first book of the Vorkosigan Saga.
Very good book, but the Sci-Fi bits are really secondary to the story.

Right now I'm reading The Lost Fleet Series by John Hemry/Jack Campbell It's sorta Honor Harrington but not really, though Honor Harrington even goes downhill in the later novels.
