Well I'm back in the Big D. A little worse for wear. My left shoulder is in what can only be described as "horriffic" pain. I'm not sure why but it hurt bad enough to keep me up till 4am last night. I took so much ibuprofen that it gave me heartburn and still no reduction in the pain. I figure it time to get a professional involved at this point and hey maybe I'll get some GOOD painkillers out of the deal. It hurts somewhat less today but still enough that I won't be able to sleep much if it continues.
Elsewhere Echris, has a new dog, and I know you are all fans of cute dogs so here ya go, Noch and another of Noch. (pronounced nawsh)
i've found that for really bad aches, you need to be on anti-inflammatories for a few days before they're effective.
try 400mg of ibuprofen every 8 hours interspersed with 400mg of acetiminophen every 8 hours. so basically you're taking something every 4 hours, but never the same thing twice in a row.
i used this method when i yerked my knee cave diving [did something wierd with about 90lb's of gear strapped to my back] and i was in agony. after a day or so of the regimen, i felt much, much better. it's the saturation that allows them to work.
and yes, i did do a control test, where i went off them for a couple days, just to check, and the pain promptly returned until i got back on the meds.

if that doesn't work, i've got some codeine that AR brought back from india for the wifebot. wifebot can't use them onaccounta they're codeine sulfate, and she be 'lergic to all sulfa meds.
