Well as you can see I still haven't gotten around to posting my Dragoncon pictures. Looking good for it to happen tonight as I don't have any real plans to do anything this evening. I did quite a lot this weekend however.
Friday I went to see Hero, a very good martial arts movie, unlike some others I could mention. Saturday, I went to the TCU SMU game and the acompanying tailgate party. I had to "force" myself to drink all the beer I brought before the game, as you are not allowed to carry it into the stadium. They also had some very cool signs that said "No Beer Kegs Allowed" all around the parking area. I need one of those to hang on the door of my keg fridge. Alas, they were way to big, and way to many campus police around for me to snatch one.
Sunday , a friend and I went to "Grapefest" in Grapevine. It's a yearly wine-themed festival. It was your standard festival with crafts, beer, festival food, and of course local wines. It was way too hot to stay very long, however. I did find a neat little bar that I'm going to have to go back to called Tap-In, which boasts "Fried Cheese Stuffed Olives" as an appetizer.
WOOT FRIED CHEESE STUFFED OLIVES!!! I can already feel the heart burn.
hmmm.... interesting. i bet they're yummy though. cant wait to see the pics!

I'd like to go there too, i like Olives. Especially black ones. As for fried cheese stuffed ones, Lonnigan's said they had them, but it wound up being some chopped olives w/ cheese fried. It wasn't really stuffed. So I was quite not happy. Let me know when you go.

in any case, unless they're using like, those giant olives [which if you're familiar with olive-lore aren't really giant at all...] it sounds like a whole fucking lot of trouble to go through for a snack food the size of a fingernail.
and i don't mean one of bunny's ostentatious 4" Lee Press-On nails with glow in the dark highlights.
i mean a well-chewed man's fingernail.
all i can say is, they better be yummyliscious.
let's leave w*rk early on thursday and go there.
