Dragoncon 2004 Links

The people who both attend and put on DragonCon are very "plugged-in" to the internet. Everyone is giving out cards with websites or posting thier websites on walls and flyers. Here are some interesting links I collected.

The DragonCon Homepage
Dragoncon TV - They were responsible for all the multimedia at Dragoncon, including some very funny slideshows and TV Commercials.
Dragoncon Pictures- suppposedly you can upload your DragonCon pics to this site. I haven't looked into it much yet.
Abbyshot - Custom-made costumes to order, including Neo's Coat from the Matrix and Jay and Silent Bob outfits.
MetalDude- This guy makes AMAZING Sculptures from metal odds and ends. I resisted the urge to buy an $85 metal Godzilla.
Titan Games - They had just about every game you could think of for sale, including many out of print ones.
Corsetshop.net This place has some very nice corsets. Ask Ninsi, she bought one.
SpatCave - Spat designs and builds all kinds of costumes and props. He's repsonsible for almost all of the Stormtrooper and Colonial Marine Armor that you see at DragonCon.
Aliens Pulse Rifle And if you REALLY want to be a Colonial Marine, you can buy a working replica pusle rifle here for the low low price of $1500. I think Spat will make you a non-functioning one cheaper.
CruxShadows - Thier DragonCon concert this year was great if not really really late, go buy the new album.

Phlome put up some DragonCon Pictures today. Be sure to check out two of the best costmes I've seen , The MAXX and Dr. Goldteeth and his band.

Reading

I just finshed Codelia's Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold which is the first book of the Vorkosigan Saga.
Very good book, but the Sci-Fi bits are really secondary to the story.

Right now I'm reading The Lost Fleet Series by John Hemry/Jack Campbell It's sorta Honor Harrington but not really, though Honor Harrington even goes downhill in the later novels.
