I'm definitely not bored.

I've spent so much time answering emails latley I've negeleted the blog. I still have like 5 or 6 emails to answer. So far so good this week. I'm supposed to have low white and red blood cell counts, but not having a home phlebotomy kit I have no idea if this is true. I sure felt run-down Monday and Tuesday. I didn't realize how bad till this morning when I actually felt normal. I've had some kind of chest-head cold thing since last Tuesday. The Chemo, the cancer, and all the other drugs I have to take all play hell with your immune system so I figure this will be the norm for the next few months.

Everyone asks "What are you doing with your time now that your not working?" or "Are you getting bored?" I'm not. I have no idea where the time goes. People call to see how I'm doing. I answer a lot of email. I try and keep up with what's going on at work. Seems like I have to spend at least 2 hours on the phone a day with a Doctor or the insurence company or the horrifc "Reward Administration Center" who handles my disability. I'm still trying to get them to explain why they are withholding more taxes out of my disability check than my regular paycheck even though disability is only 75% of my salary.

I'm also trying to get something, ANYTHING from MD Anderson. I've had one phone call from them since I went there and haven't received anything from them in the way of a second opinion. I'm thinking of calling them today and telling them I'm not paying them. I doubt they'll care. I did get the bill in the mail for my Biopsy. $14,000 The insurence paid for most of it but I still have to pay 10%. Good thing they take Visa.

Glad you're hanging in there.

You should pick up WoW :)

If you want a list of recommended reading at any time let me know.

Oh, how is LOTR for xbox? I've heard good things about it. Is it really worth getting?

It's not all that great. The first 3-4 hours I played it, it was really fun but then it's just the same thing over and over and over. I'd skip it.

I think it's high time that phlome diverted some of his astronomy slush fund [born of our generous pay-pal donations to his astronomy habit fund to the Existentially Challenged Chemosabie fund.

That or we have a fund raising party for Zero.

While I am more or less diametrically opposed to themed parties of any sort, [just ask bunny.] exceptions could be made.

holt shit - still... 10% over 3 months can be a hefty cost. visa can only go so far i would think.

holy Lord, a biopsy is expensive. i had no idea. good to see you last week.... thanks for squeezing me in. :-)

Yeah, that slush fund... It's working swimmingly. I thought once upon a time that I had gotten a $.02 donation, but I was just mistaken. Had left some money in my paypal account and forgot it. It's quite sad, really.

Reading

I just finshed Codelia's Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold which is the first book of the Vorkosigan Saga.
Very good book, but the Sci-Fi bits are really secondary to the story.

Right now I'm reading The Lost Fleet Series by John Hemry/Jack Campbell It's sorta Honor Harrington but not really, though Honor Harrington even goes downhill in the later novels.
