Cleaning House

Been meaing to do a little cleaning on the links sidebar. It pretty much goes like this, you need to link to me if I'm going to link you (I check using Technorati.com), and you need to post regularly (I have everyone in my sidebar in my Sharpeader. ) So if you see your page drop off the links that's why. If you are linking me and I somehow missed you, let me know! Oh and BTW the drugs are making me grumpy this week, so if I tell you to STFU or something I don't really mean it.

In my quest to try new and interesting web apps. I got Firefox to work on both my PC's now. I really like the tabbed browsing feature. Anyone know of a good open-source pop mail client? I'm using Outlook express now, but it's not exaclty feature-laden.

I thought you'd been using Firefox. The Tabbed browsing is about the biggest end-user feature leap forward since Mosaic.

I used firefox a while back and deemed it not yet ready. To much stuff didn't work and it didn't play well with proxy servers. The more recent version seems to work pretty well. I need to found some kind of plug-in that will auto-fill out forms like the google toolbar does.

Firefox auto-fills out my forms and does it really well.

Firefox's default form fillout is automatic. The google toolbar's form fillout function let's me set everything up and then only fill it in if I want to.

You're grumpy?!? Kidding... My favorite has to be one that A knows quite well from you, GTFOUMH - Get the fuck out of my house! :-)

Thunderbird is what I use for mail. It's fairly awesome. I don't know what features you're after, but it seems good. And it's a Mozilla product.

also, thunderbird has extensions like firefox does.

I think if you either install "Mozilla" you get Firefox and an open source email client. Either I'm thinking of that or open-office which can be gotten at www.openoffice.org (i think)

Mozilla does come with its own mail client. Mozilla is ass ugly though. I keep really wanting to like it but don't. Very few extensions available for it as well. They seem to be putting their effort into firefox and thunderbird.

Reading

I just finshed Codelia's Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold which is the first book of the Vorkosigan Saga.
Very good book, but the Sci-Fi bits are really secondary to the story.

Right now I'm reading The Lost Fleet Series by John Hemry/Jack Campbell It's sorta Honor Harrington but not really, though Honor Harrington even goes downhill in the later novels.
