Geekiest Weekend Ever

I meant to post yesterday but it kinda got lost since I'm deathly ill at the moment. More about that later, first I'll tell you about this weekend. My brother, Halo and his friend came down, and joined Phlome, Demi,Donut and I for 12 straight hours of D&D. More than that really since we spent a good deal of time Friday evening making characters. Donut dubbed it the "Geekiest weekend ever." Unfortunatley, Saturday night, I started feeling ill. By Sunday I had a Temp of 101. This is the week of the Chemo cycle that I have low white blood cell counts, so if I get sick this week then it very difficult for me to get well. The doctor said there wasn't any reason for concern unless my temp got over 102. Right now it's holding at about 100 dropping to a normal 98.6 every few hours when I take painkillers. To top it all off I have ore plumbing problems, the floor in front of the sink is warm and I get hot water from the cold water tap. I know FROM EXPERIENCE that this means there is a leak in a hot water pipe somewhere. The last time this happend the insurence company covered most of the cost, of course since this would be the third claim in 2 years, if I do claim it they might drop my coverage. I hate insurence companies.

Oh I forgot to mention despite my Illness Halo and I went and saw Constantine on Sunday. Overall, it was "Not bad." It's like they couldn't decide if they were making a new version of the exorcist or "Blade" with demons instead of vampires. The holy auto-shotgun was a little much.

i think i may have contracted some of your ickiness - been feeling like crap all day - achey (head, stomach and general body), nausious (no actual vomiting yet.) And general fatigue. I keep getting chilled and hot too...I think my mom weakens my immute system - my body spent the whole weekend trying to stay mentally healthy, and forgot about the phsyical.

"holy auto-shotgun"? oh my.
i think i'll be skipping constantine anyway.

how "faithful" was it to hellblazer? (if you ever read that comic, that is)

I only read the first 10 comics , but Grady said is wasn'y anything close. Oh and he's not British in the movie.

well, i figured the british aspect was gone with reeves in the leading role - lol

Reading

I just finshed Codelia's Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold which is the first book of the Vorkosigan Saga.
Very good book, but the Sci-Fi bits are really secondary to the story.

Right now I'm reading The Lost Fleet Series by John Hemry/Jack Campbell It's sorta Honor Harrington but not really, though Honor Harrington even goes downhill in the later novels.
