Books and Stuff

Well I haven't been keeping my "Reading" link over there on the right very up to date. I finished reading American Splendor a while back. I have the second American Splendor anthology and "Our Movie Year" but I haven't read either yet.

I read thesse 2 books but never got around to posting them on the page. Well that and I read Cukoo's Egg in 2 days.

The Cukoo's Egg by Cliff Stoll.

Story about an astronomer who finds a hacker lurking in his computer. The hacker turns out to be a foreign intelleingence agent. Sound like a cheesy spy novel? It's a True Story.

Stranger than Fiction by Chuck Palahniuk

A collection of essays he wrote on various topics while researching his novels. A great behind the scenes view of how Chuck P writes his books.

I read the first few Thieves World books; they go downhill after .. 2 I think? First one was great though.

There is a new thievies world novel out also. I saw it a few weeks ago. DOn't remeber the name of it, but it is a bunch of short stories like the first.

Yeah I saw that. A lot of new authors in it too like Raymond Fiest. Hag is right they kinda go downhill after book 3 or 4.

Damn, now I'm going to have to go back and read the first one again. Scuba Steve!!! Damn YOU!!

Reading

I just finshed Codelia's Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold which is the first book of the Vorkosigan Saga.
Very good book, but the Sci-Fi bits are really secondary to the story.

Right now I'm reading The Lost Fleet Series by John Hemry/Jack Campbell It's sorta Honor Harrington but not really, though Honor Harrington even goes downhill in the later novels.
