Naming Standards

My girlfriend mentioned this weekend that she has a cousin named "Robinette." Apparently, they wanted to name her after her mother, Robin, and since you can't call her Robin Jr., she's Robinette. Of course, since she lives near her mother, they can't just call her Robin, that would be confusing. She goes by "ette." I find this more than a little weird.

Okay so you all SAW Star Wars this weekend right? Well if you didn't TOO BAD. Like you don't know how it turns out anyway.

OBI-WAN RIDES A GIANT IGUANA.

I'm not kidding,he even uses it to chase down one of the major bad guys. And let me tell you, that Iguana could haul ass. It was at least as fast as a speeder bike.

but was it as fast as a chaos bike that looks suspiciously like a tractor?

I loved the new Star Wars! It was all I could do to keep from crying too because it was such a great chic flick!

Chick FLICK??? what was the chick flick about it. Closer was a chick flick. This was constant action that had scenes of a pregnant lady with bad lines in an apartnment. What part made you cry. Padme" I love you." Anakin "I love you more" Better dialouge from Leia and Han in Empire strikes back. Leia "I love you" Han "I know"

I agree 100% Halo. Han & Leia had far better love dialogue. I seriously doubt we'll see Hayden Christiensen become the next Harrison Ford. But I also agree w/ Care - there was chick flickiness in it too.

I almost teared up a tiny bit when Anakin was dealing with what he'd done to Mace, and then when Padme realized he had gone completely to the dark side.

Damn you Anakin! Selfish bastard.

Reading

I just finshed Codelia's Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold which is the first book of the Vorkosigan Saga.
Very good book, but the Sci-Fi bits are really secondary to the story.

Right now I'm reading The Lost Fleet Series by John Hemry/Jack Campbell It's sorta Honor Harrington but not really, though Honor Harrington even goes downhill in the later novels.
