Concert Season

At least it seems that way. I saw Interpol last Friday. I'd never been a huge fan of their music but the live show was great. Bands are often much better live than recorded IMO. Last night I went to the Foo Fighters/Weezer concert. You have to hand it to these two. Eventhough I don't own any albums by either band, I knew almost every song they played. There were even a few songs that Weezer played that I didn't realize were theirs.

Next weekend I'm goign to ACLfest. There are so many bands there I have no idea who I'll see. Apparenlty, I'm also going rock climbing. I've never tried it before but I have lots of friends that are very into it. I forsee tragedy.

Outside or inside? (the climbing, not the concerts)

You went to Weezer and didn't invite? You fucking suck!

Have fun at ACL fest dude. Steve, Gene and Myself went to Austin last year during it. We didn't go to it though, it was to damned insane. I think there was something like 75,000 people there. We stayed away and visited a few parties on UT's campus instead. Just come back alive! We need our mighty DM.

It'll be hot. BTW, you'll be fine with the rockclimbing. Those guys are pros, plus the gyms are really safe. Are you going to the place in Carrollton or the place in Grapevine?

Reading

I just finshed Codelia's Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold which is the first book of the Vorkosigan Saga.
Very good book, but the Sci-Fi bits are really secondary to the story.

Right now I'm reading The Lost Fleet Series by John Hemry/Jack Campbell It's sorta Honor Harrington but not really, though Honor Harrington even goes downhill in the later novels.
