They hid her in the nose.

Well the hurricane was less than expected. At least here in Dallas, we didn't even get any rain. It did get very windy for a while. I think eveyone has thier answer for why people could have possibly stayed in New Orleans eventhough they new the Hurricane was coming. (The first one.) Some people choose to take the risk, wait it out at home and hope the Hurricane goes another way, rather than sit in traffic for 32 hours! Which is exactly what happened with Rita and Houston, but of course, not Katrina and New Orleans.

I ended up seeing a lot of movies this weekend. Flight Plan, which was ludicruisly bad, and 40 year old virgin which was really funny, like old School Funny. Avoid Flight Plan at all costs. It was like someone said,
"Hey let's make a movie about someone's kid who gets kinapped on an airplane!"
"Okay what about the rest of the movie?"
"That's all we need it'll be great! We'll get Jodi Foster!"

My father lives in Houston and my brothers and I were ranting for him to come up here and wait it out. His stubborness prevailed and he stayed home. Said he didn't see one drop of rain, but had lots of wind. No damage on his house or church so I felt foolish aftewards. I guess it's really the chance you take.

I need to see 40yr old virgin. I've heard it was pretty funny.

Still trying to figure out the "They Hid Her In The Nose" title. Is there more to this? am I missing something?

I think they hid her daughter in the nose of the plane... Am I wrong?

Reading

I just finshed Codelia's Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold which is the first book of the Vorkosigan Saga.
Very good book, but the Sci-Fi bits are really secondary to the story.

Right now I'm reading The Lost Fleet Series by John Hemry/Jack Campbell It's sorta Honor Harrington but not really, though Honor Harrington even goes downhill in the later novels.
