Gadget Universe

I got the weirdest catalog in the mail today. It's a catalog of gadgets but it's very weird. It's all fun of the stuff you'd see for sale on late night TV. Luckily they have a web site so the fun can be shared by all.

www.gadgetuniverse.com

They have not 1, not 2, not 3, but yes 4 different machines that make hotdogs.

That 4th one even makes popcorn!

Shape your buns while you sit on your ass.

For all you wanna be burglars.

Numbers so big you can see them from 100 yards away!

Absolutley no one will think you are weird if you own this.

I don't even know what a "watch winder" is but they sure got em!

I think only the "special" commandos use this.

Check it out for yourself! It's loads of fun.

The Halloween party was a blast. I'll try and put some pics up soon.

To Busy to Blog

It's not that I haven't wanted to Blog but I've just been way to busy. I'm in the midst of writing at 35+ page security system paper for my grad school class and until this pasat weekend I was way behind. I've gotten a majority of it done now, thoughthis week I'm working in Virginia Beach,VA. Sounds nice but all it has done since I've been here is pour down rain.

Halo's wedding was great. The ceremony itself was very nice but a whirlwind of chaos if you are actually involved in it.

Technical Difficulties Please Stand By

You may or may not have noticed , but one day last week channel zero was down, at least http://www.channel-zero.net. My lovley hosting service moved me to a new server and didn't update the Domain records for channel-zero.net. You could still acces the site through http://www.ryanmoore.org but I don't think may people use that address.

Along with this problem, when they moved me to a server it somehow broke all the scripts that make Moveable Type work, so I couldn't write any blog entries. After 4 days and 3 support tickets they figured out a work-around to make the scripts work but never did actually fix anything. I think this probably falls in the catagorey of, "what did you expect for $4 a month", but it was annoying in any case.

I'm off today for Tulsa to start the festivities for Halo's Wedding. Tonite is the Bachelor Party, then Tux fittings and rehershal tommorrow, then Friday the Wedding.

I'm healthy!

Been completely swamped with work and school this week. I have six weeks left to work on my network design project for school and I'm pretty much going to have to work on it everyday to get it done on time. I'm 2/3 of the way done with the outline and that alone is 6 pages. The professor says he expects about a 30-35 page final document. ACK!

I had to take a health survey the other day. I think I'll definitely fall into the category of "outlier".

How many days a week do you exercise 30 minutes or more?
5-6

How many days a week to you exercise 1 hour or more?
2-3

How many days a week to you drink alcohol?
2-3

How many drinks do you have?
5-6

Have you had any of the following serious medical conditions?
Cancer

Whoever reads my survey is gonna think "This guy is full of crap."

I saw Serenity this weekend. It was great. Not the movie I was hoping for, but still very good none the less. Quite a few of the TV show fans felt "betrayed" by the movie. I can see this. The movie definetly does not set it up for a return of the TV show. It didn't end with a cliffhanger waiting for a sequel either, though the ending does make a sequel possible. Hopefully, there will be another movie, it only managed #2 this weekend, most people goign to see the awful flight plan. More stuff (spoilers) in the extended entry.

Reading

I just finshed Codelia's Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold which is the first book of the Vorkosigan Saga.
Very good book, but the Sci-Fi bits are really secondary to the story.

Right now I'm reading The Lost Fleet Series by John Hemry/Jack Campbell It's sorta Honor Harrington but not really, though Honor Harrington even goes downhill in the later novels.
