Yes I rented it. It wasn't TERRIBLE, but I can't quite say it was good either. I think it falls solidly in the category of a Good Bad Movies. It was painfuly obvious that some scenes were cut out. (The hero suddenly has a magic sword that he didn't have in the previous scene.) It's filled with D&D references though. The characters are D&D archtypes, the monsters are striaght out of the game, and they even crawl thorugh a dungeon and figure out some traps. Overall, I'd say if you are a D&D fan rent it, otherwise it's pretty much a bad fantasy movie.
Is it worse than the DnD movie with Jeremy Irons?
Oh it was WAAAAYYYY better than that one.
And it's got a super hot barbarian chick to boot!
