I am a Tire Changing Master

Through much adversity, Elanna and I were able to cycle 33 miles on Saturday. We had decided to try a new trail this weekend. The White Rock Lake Trail leads to White Rock Lake, which is where we usually ride, so riding down the trail, around the lake twice, and then back should have given us a pretty good ride. First, before we even left the house, I broke the stem on her rear tire while airing it up. Thankfully, the tires on her bike are pretty easy to change. Then we had a little trouble finding the entrance to the trail. When we did find it there was a sign saying that the bike trail in that park was closed and that the trail now started at a different park. Luckily, another helpful biker was able to tell us how to get to that second park. We got started and about 5 miles down the trail, Elanna's tire actually blew out! Again I was thankful that her tires are easy to change. Thankfully, We were able to complete the rest of the ride with no problems though we didn't end up getting home to almost 4pm.

In other news, Robert Jordon, Author of many voluminous Fantasy Novels, passed away.

Reading

I just finshed Codelia's Honor by Lois McMaster Bujold which is the first book of the Vorkosigan Saga.
Very good book, but the Sci-Fi bits are really secondary to the story.

Right now I'm reading The Lost Fleet Series by John Hemry/Jack Campbell It's sorta Honor Harrington but not really, though Honor Harrington even goes downhill in the later novels.
