Determin Your Stats For your stats you can either assign up 7 positive points and the same number of negative points or I can roll some for you. Pick Your House Some house have special skills, virtues flaws and spells so email with which house you pick so I can give you more detailed info. Bonisagus: Named after the founder Hermetic Magic. Bonisagus magi are very respected and considered to be the most "gifted" of all the houses. They work to further the goals of the order and knowledge of magic. Tytalus: Tytalus mages believe conflict breeds strength. They constanly seek to improve themselves through conflict and competition. Jerbiton: This house is interested in studying the mundane world and keep on good terms with both the nobility and the church. Criamon: This a very secretive house known for obscure philosophy and seeking the ultimate truth.. The mark their bodies with arcane symbols. Bjornaer: The memebrs of this house are shapeshifters. They strive to be able to change into to more and more forms and get in touch with their bestial nature. Verditius: These magi specialize in making magical devices. Many verditius magi pretend to have less power than they really do. Flambeau: These are aggressive and feroius magic just like the magic they practice: fire and destruction. Merinita: This house focuses on the study of the fairie world and nature magic. Quasitoris: The members of this house are the enforcers of the hermetic laws and investigate mages that have transgressed these laws. Ex Miscellanea: This house was formed by a Temere magus and a congregation of mages from the British Isles. Mages from this house practice many diverse kinds of magic. Tremere: Magi of this house are very politically active. They emphasize judgement, strategy and planning. They are also masters of caretamen (magical dueling) Mercere: The redcaps. This house carries messages between covenants and keeps everyone informed of happenings in the world. Many members of this house are not magically gifted though they use magic items. 3. Assign Virtues/Flaws You can up to ten points of virtues. You have to have the same number of points of flaws as you do virtues. Use the Link on the main page to pick your virtues and flaws. 4. Assign Skills/Talents/Abilities You have your age in skill points to spend. Rembering that your stats will begin to drop after age 35 and Ars Games last for many many years of game time. Skills cost thier level in points for each level. i.e A level one skill costs one point and a level two costs 1+2=3 points and a level three skill would cost 1+2+3=6 pts anyway you get the idea. Assing Magical Traits You have 150 points to spend These are spent the same way as skill points. All magic is done by combining a form with a technique. For example Ball of abyssmal Flame is Creo Ignem (Create Fire) Look over the spell lists and see which spells you want to cast and pick you arts accordingly. Don't worry though these are easy to raise if you change your mind later. Pick your Spells You have 150 points to spend but these are 1 for 1. A level 30 spell costs 30 points. In order to learn a spell your Technique + Form + Int +10 must be >= the level of the spell. 7. Make up a background story including where you were from, how you got your various virtues and flaws, why your charecter is going to scotland, and how you met your companion(if you have one)
